Rehabilitation, Telemedicine & Chronic Care

Care is moving into the home, and Spain's HTA system is assessing the tools that take it there.

The RedETS 2026 Work Plan includes a strong digital-health and chronic-care cluster: home telerehabilitation for spinal cord injury, telerehabilitation for patients in rural or hard-to-access areas, telemonitoring of patients hospitalised at home, telemonitoring in heart failure, teleophthalmology-based diabetic retinopathy screening, digital remote follow-up of complex chronic patients, and humanisation in long-stay rehabilitation.

For digital-health and remote-monitoring companies, these assessments will shape how connected-care solutions are evaluated and reimbursed across Spain. All are currently in development.
