Early detection saves lives, and Spain's 2026 HTA agenda reflects it.
A dedicated group of RedETS 2026 assessments focuses on screening at the very start of life and across metabolic conditions. In scope: neonatal screening for CPT I/II, CACT and MADD deficiencies via the heel-prick test, neonatal screening for lysosomal diseases, an update to galactosemia screening, an update to prenatal toxoplasmosis screening, and specialised nutritional modules for amino-acid metabolic disorders and protein supplementation.
For companies in newborn screening, IVDs and metabolic nutrition, these reports will help define what Spain's National Health System adopts and funds. Every topic here is currently in development.
