Chronic pain and neurological recovery are on Spain's 2026 assessment agenda.

The RedETS 2026 Work Plan includes a focused neurology and pain-management cluster: multimodal treatment of neuropathic pain, spinal cord stimulation for chronic trunk and lower-limb pain, and repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) for stroke sequelae.

These assessments will influence how neuromodulation and pain technologies are evaluated and adopted within Spain's National Health System. All are currently in development, meaning the evidence conversation is still open.
