From hybrid operating rooms to portable diagnostics, Spain is assessing the next wave of medical devices.

The RedETS 2026 Work Plan carries a substantial medical-device and imaging cluster: PET/MR multimodal imaging systems, minimally invasive brain surgery devices, portable ultrasound in mobile ICUs, portable blood analysers in emergency units, hybrid robotic operating rooms for pulmonary nodules, reflux-control devices for GERD, BIS monitoring in advanced medical transport, multicriteria optimization in radiotherapy planning, and multimodal CT-CBCT-MRI-PET image registration tools.

For device and imaging manufacturers, inclusion means these technologies will be measured against Spain's evidence expectations, with mutual recognition extending the outcome across regions. Every topic is currently in development.
